Exhibition Guidelines & Call for Entries
Welcome to our 4th installment of the Place Your Art Here exhibition by Sedso Design. Each exhibition focuses on a different subject or theme, and has a specific set of guidelines and rules that each artist must follow in order to have their work entered into the final show. Our next exhibition will focus on 3D anaglyph imagery. We encourage both artists and non...–artists alike to participate. All work that is accepted into the exhibition will be displayed for sale at the SEDSO Design Gallery during the opening reception.
We are accepting entries until October 28th, 2011.

What is 3D anaglyph imagery?
Anaglyph images are used to provide a stereoscopic 3D effect, when viewed with glasses where the two lenses are different (usually chromatically opposite) colors, such as red and cyan. Images are made up of two color layers, superimposed, but offset with respect to each other to produce a depth effect. Usually the main subject is in the center, while the foreground and background are shifted laterally in opposite directions. The picture contains two differently filtered colored images, one for each eye. When viewed through the "color coded" "anaglyph glasses", they reveal an integrated stereoscopic image. The visual cortex of the brain fuses this into perception of a three-dimensional scene or composition.
Submissions for the 3D exhibition must fit within a 11x14 vertical or horizontal format, and contain no bleed or border. Artwork can be any subject matter, but should have at least one 3d focal point. All artwork must be submitted in 3d anaglyph format to be viewed with red and blue 3d glasses that will be provided at the exhibition. Tutorials on how to make a 3D anaglyph using Photoshop, illustrator etc. can be found here...
